Going to Visit

3/30/2018 I left Waco this morning heading to Arlington, Texas for a visit with Cliff Taylor, a longtime friend. It was an uneventful drive. I then settled into my space at the Treetops RV Resort a nice park in central Arlington Texas. This resort has many large oak trees throughout with a very welcoming staff. Later, I drove over for dinner with Cliff and his wife Ginger where we consumed our food and the past at an Italian restaurant.
After dinner, we returned to their home where we talked for several hours before I returned to my mobile residence.

3/31/2018 I woke up late this morning then proceeded to meet with a former Columbia, Missouri IBM colleague, Andrew Brant. I met Andrew for lunch at Joe T. Garcia’s restaurant, a Fort Worth institution. After an extended wait, we were seated within the restaurant’s beautiful outdoor patio. The wait was lessened by the margaritas that were consumed queued up on line. Actually, the food was mediocre but the ambiance and the conversation made up for the lack of culinary quality. After lunch I went to Cliff and Ginger’s house for dinner. Upon arrival, I found Cliff and his grandson, Addison, working on a patio cover. I proceeded to volunteer my services by locating and supplying them the required nuts and bolts. Ginger cooked a dinner of rib-eyes and baked potatoes with vegetables. It was a very good dinner and I had a great final visit before my departure in the morning.
